High Conductivity Cathode Flat Steel
Aluminum electrolysis process is a process that purifies aluminium through the action of low voltage and high current DC current. Whether the current circuit provided by the electrolytic aluminium equipment is reasonable or not is directly related to the production cost of per ton aluminium. At present, the equipment used in our country is aluminium electrolysis cell, which includes cell body, anode equipment and cathode equipment.
The anode equipment is mainly composed of anode guide rod, anode steel claw and anode carbon block. The cathode equipment is mainly composed of cathode carbon block and cathode flat steel. The cathode flat steel is a rectangular strip with a smooth surface. There are four cathode flat steels in each cathode carbon block, and three of the four cathode flat steels are embedded in the cathode carbon block.
When the aluminium electrolysis cell works, the cathode equipment is located at the bottom of the cell, buried in the aluminium electrolyte, and the anode equipment is inserted into the aluminium electrolyte from the upper part of the cell. The conduction sequence of the aluminium electrolysis cell is roughly as follows: the power supply bus, the anode guide rod, the steel-aluminium composite block (the part connecting the anode guide rod and the anode steel claw), the anode steel claw, the phosphorus iron ring, the anode carbon block and the aluminium bath (the aluminium electrolyte solution). Cathode carbon block, cathode flat steel and cathode bus. Set the resistance of the anode circuit as R1, the load resistance of the aluminum electrolyte as R2, and the resistance of the cathode circuit as R3. The total resistance of the whole system in the working circuit is R=R1+R2+R3. Resistors R1 and R3 are produced in the manufacture of anode and cathode equipments. Because of material, process and installation, they are not required by ideal electrolytic aluminium process. The requirement of ideal electrolytic aluminium process should be that all energy consumption should be consumed on the load resistance R2 of aluminium electrolyte, so as to improve the utilization rate of energy to a great extent.
